We believe that it is our responsibility to play an active role as citizens, and we are committed to make a difference within our community and in the world.

Our aim is to create a society without prejudice, to encourage sustainable lifestyles, to inspire and empower young people to take action, seizing the great opportunity of this unique network.

We want to raise awareness of global problems and present solutions. This means to work towards for One World, the Millennium Development Goals and international understanding.

We want to change the world in order to make it a better place!

We network, create partnerships, and share personal experiences, skills and knowledge.

We learn from each other and help each other.

Through projects, events, meetings and workshops we inform, motivate, inspire and empower ourselves and others to be part of the network and the change.

Economic growth needs to be balanced with the protection of our natural environment and the principle of social justice. The term "sustainable development" resumes this basic idea as our vision for the future of our global and local societies. In the tradition of the Earth Summit 1992 in Rio de Janeiro, we follow the idea of "thinking globally and acting locally to change globally".

Everybody should have enough to eat, clean water to drink and access to an adequate medical care. To eradicate extreme poverty is one of the most essential objectives of humankind. It requires solidarity, creativity and know-how for getting people into work and loan and/or for improving their traditional lifestyles. Individuals, NGOs, businesses and political insitutions and organisations need to work together in order to fulfill this task.

The Millennium Development Goals serve as a global, quantified framework which relies individuals directly with objectives that have been adopted by their states within the international community of the United Nations.

It is their character of universality which makes the MDGs so precious. However, there is no general concept for how to improve the quality of life of people living in different social contexts and natural environments. Solutions need to be found locally but - of course - can be inspired by experiences from around the world.
